What is the most suitable forklift for me?

Forklifts are categorized according to the following capabilities:


Load - how much it can safely carry a load.


Reach - how far or how high it can safely carry a load.


Noise - the noise that a forklift makes. This may have implications in certain areas.


Emission - the C02 emissions of the Forklift. In order of least to most:


Electric


Gas


Petrol/LPG


Diesel


Terrain - the terrain or environment in which forklifts operate. In some cases especially the food industry, zero emissions forklifts are required by law.

How often do I have to service my forklift?

Most forklifts have to he serviced between a 250h or six month period, whichever comes first.

What is a Load test?

A load test is basically the health of your forklift. The ability of your forklift to operate safely in its environment.

Load testing 

Load testing is a requirement by law. A forklift that has not been load tested at least every 12 months is illegal to operate. A load test technician will visually and physically inspect a forklift to ensure that all operations and safety measures are in place to ensure safe operation of the machinery within its environment and scope of work.
